Fresh on the Farm Stand

Week of September 11, 2023

So much this season it seemed that we were waiting on the garden. First it was waiting for the temperatures to rise so we could plant. Then it was waiting for the first shoots to emerge from the soil. Then we waited for blossoms. Then we waited for fruit. And then we waited for the first signs that the tomatoes would blush.

But the wait is over… we are tomato rich!

Fresh out on the Farm Stand this week you can find:

White Tomesol Tomatoes – Don’t let their light yellow to green color fool you, these tomatoes are ripe and ready to add color and flavor to your tomato sandwich, BLT, or burger.

Kellogg’s Breakfast Tomatoes – Larger orange beefsteak heirloom tomatoes rich with flavor. Another great slicer to add color and flavor to your sandwiches.

Dr. Wyche’s Yellow Heirloom Tomatoes – Large yellow to orange tomatoes with a slightly flattened globe shape. These are juicy and fresh with a slight tropical flavor.

Paul Robeson Tomatoes – Another color to add to your pallete of heirloom slicers. These are a much darker, deep-red to purple, meaty slicer rich with flavor.

For snacking tomatoes you can find an assortment of Tasty Treat, Black Strawberry, and Barry’s Crazy Cherry tomatoes offer up a quick, sweet bite.

Farm Fresh Eggs have been resupplied as well! These have been one of our best sellers and we often struggle to keep the fridge stocked. The girls put in some overtime this weekend though, so we just put out a fresh five dozen this morning.

We still have a few farm raised Cornish Cross chickens (frozen) available in the freezer as well at $3.50/lb.

Coming Soon:

  • Fresh Cut Flowers (Sunflowers, Zinnias, and more.
  • Pumpkins
  • Corn & Sunflower Stalks

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us at the farm stand this year! We were not sure how it was going to be received by the neighborhood community, but you guys have been nothing but awesome. We’re thrilled to be able to provide everyone with farm fresh goods straight from our land.

Thank you for your support!
